Basics
What is an Escape Room?
An Escape Room is a fantastically fun, interactive puzzle game, in which you search for clues, solve puzzles, and escape! You are placed in a fully-immersive game room with other players, and you must all work together to be successful. These rooms are excellent for friends, family, team building, date nights, and special occasions!
How many people can play in a room?
Our aim is to maximize fun and keep everyone engaged during game play. So we limit the people per room.

For 13th Floor: There is a minimum of 2 people and maximum 6 people.

For Trapped in space: There is a minimum of 2 people and maximum 7 people. It is not preferred but if needed we can adjust one more.

How long is the game?
Actual game play is 60 minutes, but it is recommended you arrive 15 minutes early for briefing, and may stay 10 minutes late for debriefing, celebrating, and taking a team photo.

We do have a quick 15 min game too for walk ins. This game was featured in west seattle fair 2016 and was a big hit!

I only want to play with my friends, what do I do?
All of our rooms are “public” rooms, which means that anyone can purchase a ticket and play. In order to ensure that your party will be the only players in a room, you must purchase all six tickets.
What skills do we need?
There are no special skills needed! All you need is your open mind, and ability to work together with other players to solve puzzles! No hulk strength, no tools, and no magic – just you and your brain!
Do I need to bring anything?
No, all you need is yourself! There are secure lockers for you to put any belongings, so all you need is an open mind, the drive to solve puzzles and enjoy the immersive themes!
Minimum age?

The game is for ages 12 to 100+. However, everyone 17 years and under needs to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. For children under 12, a parent/guardian must accompany them.

Can I bring kids younger than 12?
The Escape Artist is proud to be family-friendly, but for ages below 12, please call us to find out more! In general, it is preferred that it is a family booking an entire room, so that other paying customers will not be impacted. Please give us a call at (206) 582 1286 and we can customize your experience.
What happens if we don't solve anything?
That wouldn’t be very fun, now would it? Don’t worry! Our rooms are designed so that things will make sense to you – if you need a little nudge in the right direction, that is no problem at all! Remember, you are entitled to 3 hints, so you will surely find your way towards success.
Pricing/Booking
How can I book?
Through our website, call our office (206) 582 1286, or walk-ins are welcome if there is an open space available to accommodate. Pre-booking is highly recommended.
How much does it cost?
The cost structure varies as follows:

$30.00 for adults

$28.00 for military/veterans with ID

$25.00 for children/teens < 18

How can I pay?
We accept online payments through all major credit cards. For walk-ins, we accept cash. Unfortunately, we do not accept checks.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We do! Come on over during business hours and see if we have any availability! It is easier to book through our booking page, but walk-ins are certainly welcome.
Do you have gift cards?
We sure do! You can order them online, or stop in during business hours to pick one up!
Is there a cancellation policy for individual tickets?
Yes, there is. At The Escape Artist, all sales are final, which means no refunds. Please be aware of that our game is a live event, so once the booking is confirmed, refunds and cancellations are not accepted.
Other
What if we are running late?
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to game start, so that the game can begin on time. If you arrive after the official start time, your game time will be shortened accordingly, as there will be other games after yours.
Can I sign the waiver ahead of time?
Absolutely! We attach it to your confirmation email, and highly encourage you to sign it ahead of time! If not, no worries, as we have tablets available in our lobby during check-in.
Is your room wheel chair accessible?
Our Trapped in Space room is our only wheel-chair accessible room. Unfortunately our building is older, with no elevator, so other rooms and restrooms are not accessible.
If I don't book a full room, will there be anyone else playing the game with me?
Possibly. If there is space available, another group may join yours. If you want a private room, you must purchase all slots.
Can I take pictures or videos in the room?
Sorry, but no pictures or videos can be taken of our rooms. We would be happy to take a picture of you at our celebratory picture wall though!
Can you give me hints?
Yes, of course! If you would like to play for the leaderboard, you get 3 hints throughout the game. If you want to have a good time and are stuck, you can always ask for more hints – the important thing is to have fun!
