Basics
What are Virtual/Remote Games? (These are the only games offered while we are closed to in-person!)
While closed to in-person bookings, we have two entertaining options for our Spell Struck experience!
1. Virtual – with Avatar! = Your team can play Spell Struck virtually over Zoom and Telescape (our in-browser inventory system) to navigate through the experience with the help of a live-actor avatar! A Game Master is actually in the physical escape experience – and it’s your job to help them escape! They have a camera attached to them, so that you can see exactly what they see while exploring the room. Whenever an item is discovered, it is placed in your inventory. It is up to your team to decide how the avatar (Game Master) should operate in the experience – before time runs out and they are trapped forever!
- 2-7 players
- $25/player – Pricing is per player (not per computer connection)
- 70min of game play!
2. Remote – no Avatar! = Your team can play Spell Struck virtually over Zoom and Telescape (our in-browser inventory system) to navigate through the experience on your own! You will have a host (Game Master) to assist you on Zoom if needed, but your team will each be playing on your own computer to play over Telescape. Your team plays via interactive 360 photos, videos, and puzzles to escape the room before it’s too late!
- 2-50 players
- $25/player – Pricing is per player (not per computer connection)
- 70min of game play!
What precautions are you taking for COVID-19?
Safety is our #1 priority here at The Escape Artist. We are following all CDC guidelines, and have established the following practices:
What is an Escape Room?
How many people can play in a room?
Our aim is to maximize fun and keep everyone engaged during game play. So we limit the people per room.
COVID-19 Capacity Restrictions for King County Phase 2:
For 13th Floor: There is a minimum of 2 people and maximum 5 people.
For Trapped in space: There is a minimum of 2 people and maximum 5 people.
For Spell Struck: There is a minimum of 2 players and maximum of 5 players.
For Dive to Atlantis: There is a minimum of 3 players and maximum of 5 players.
How long is the game?
Actual game play is 60 minutes (up to 70 minutes for Dive to Atlantis!), but it is recommended you arrive 15 minutes early for briefing, and may stay 10 minutes late for debriefing, celebrating, and taking a team photo. COVID-19 Provision: Please arrive 5min early, as the lobby door will remain locked until 5min prior to your booking start time.
I only want to play with my friends, what do I do?
All of our rooms are private! That means only your team will play! When booking, simply select the number of players that you will have on your team, and they will be the only players you see!
What skills do we need?
Do I need to bring anything?
Minimum age?
The game is for ages 11 to 100+. However, everyone 17 years and under needs to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. For children under 12, a parent/guardian must accompany them. Note: Dive to Atlantis has a hard minimum age of 13. You can call us at (206) 582-1286 or email us at info@goescapeartist.com to inquire about under 11 for our other experiences.
Can I bring kids younger than 11?
The Escape Artist is proud to be family-friendly, but for ages below 11, please call us to find out more! Please give us a call at (206) 582-1286 and we can customize your experience.
What happens if we don't solve anything?
That wouldn’t be very fun, now would it? Don’t worry! Our rooms are designed so that things will make sense to you – if you need a little nudge in the right direction, that is no problem at all! Remember, you are entitled to 3 hints, so you will surely find your way towards success!

What if we are running late?
